Lucas Joao joins Blackburn Rovers
Portugal striker Lucas João has completed his move to Blackburn Rovers until the end of the current season.
Joao, 23, capped twice internationally by Portugal, moved to Hillsborough in 2015 and has scored nine goals in 60 appearances for Sheffield Wednesday. He will look to increase his playing time and experience.
"Lucas Joao is a player that I've admired for the last couple of years and I've actually tried to get him to Blackburn Rovers already on a couple of occasions," said Rovers manager Owen Coyle.
"So to be able to bring it to fruition now, we're delighted. He's a young striker, he's quick, he's strong, he's got great technical ability and he has scope to get even better".
Lucas was last capped in Portugal's 4-0 win over Mexico last year.
