Sergio Conceicao joins Doyen Sports

Sérgio Conceição has joined the Doyen Sports roster. The premier sports agency will now manage the former Portuguese international's career, with a number of options on the table for the young coach.

In his fledgeling yet promising management career, Sergio Conceição has already led SC Braga to the final of the Portuguese Cup, as well as strong performances in the League.

At only 41, Sérgio Conceição already boasts an impressive 150 games managed in the Portuguese 1st Division, the Liga NOS. His latest job saw him manage Vitória Guimarães, one of the most succesful clubs in Portugal outside the big three.

Conceição has a strong track record in promoting young players. At both Braga and Guimarães, he was responsible for the breakthrough of several young players, resulting in the most profitable transfer market windows, as well as some record-breaking transfers for either club.

Conceição, a native of Coimbra, Portugal, had a stellar career as a player, winning a UEFA Cup Winners Cup, UEFA Supercup and Italian Supercup with Lazio, as well as League and Cup titles in Portugal, Italy and Belgium with Porto, Lazio, Parma and Standard Liège. On a personal level, he earned the Golden Shoe in Belgium, in 2005.

At the international level, Sergio Conceição earned 56 caps, notably scoring a hat-trick in Portugal's 3-0 victory over Germany in Euro 2000.
